It is about Ensign Francis Luis Barrallier, the first white explorer to The Oaks and beyond in 1802.The book is a historic novel, beautifully presented with maps and copies of original French drawings of our local Gun-dun-gurra indigenous people, notably "Yerran" & "Derri". These and others are portrayed by Nicolas-Martin Petit, a contemporary French artist from the Baudin/ Peron Expedition sent out by Napoleon.

Val hopes to see you there and to sell you a book. It will not only make good reading for yourself but also a tasteful present for  your friends.
